Ok, i just left the movies...seen war of the worlds (see it, it was awesome)....i get on the highway, then merge on another....this black bmw (325i i believe) was on my ass. I look in my rear view, i see a couple, the chick was hot..and ofcoarse her 'gotti' kids lookalike bf was driving. Anyway, he changes lanes behind me like a d*ck and i was just pissed cause he had a hot chick in the car, and i wanted to show him what my tbird could do.

I go to get on his ass, and i simply COULDN'T....SUV SUV SUV SUV.... Literally it was f*cking bananas, you couldn't see sh*t, everyone was gridlocked and i could no get ahead AT ALL. At this point i was pissed, so i said to myself (literally) *chill out* it aint worth causing an accident. Then i'm driving along at 60-i see him like 100 yards up get off the highway....

DAMNIT man, i wanted to catch up to him...get neck and neck, and blow his doors off.

PS, dont you love that when your in a rush, or just want to race someone....and it's totally gridlocked with soccermoms driving there suvs doing 55...talking on the cell phone.

2.5L I6
184 hp @ 6000 RPM
175 lb ft @ 3500 RPM
5-Speed Automatic Opt.
5-Speed Manual Std.

performance w/the manual is low 7's 0-60, and 15.3-15.5 1/4mi. the automatic is a little slower. 0-60 in mid 7's, and quarter mile in 15.4-15.6.


specs for the e36 model (1992-1999):

189 hp @ -->not sure about rpms
184 lb ft @ -->nor sure about rpms

bmw guys say that the e36 model is actually faster than the e46. they stopped making the 325 in 1995 right as emissions regulations switched from odb1 to odb2. the e36 odb1 325's might be faster becasue their intake is less restrictive, and they are lighter than the e46. i'm sure cassiesman can help me out on this, but this is why so many people put odb1 intakes on odb2 e36's. this "mod" apperantly gives 15-25 more hp.

Its always good to not be in a hurry cause thats when its not gridlocked. Other than that every time im in a hurry or want to race there is always a damn cop around. Thats why you follow them to therehouse and beat th shit out of them and take the girl.

An OBD1 E36 325i is faster than the current OBD2 E6 and older E36 325i. The only upside to OBD2 is the fact that you don't need to sodder anythign onto the ECU for a ECU program, you just plug in an injector, and download software. The current E46 325i is a bit slower becuase it has a pretty restrictive airbox/exaust, and the computer isn't really tuned all that well. The only shitty thing is Conforti, allthough they say they do, doesn't have any software for E46s made after 2003, and Dinan's is just about to come out.

Lol guys, it was a 325i w/6 cyl... I drove a 2001..my tbird is MUCH faster from 50-100mph. My 4.6 is 172rwhp/238rwtq...i had it dynoed last month. Not bad for a 95 with 130K miles.

Can't beat a v8 for acceleration in 3rd gear doing 60mph...punch it....you gone..

In the long run i would have been killed though, cause i still got the factory limiter, so i can't go past 105....that sucks..

yep. the factory limiter (on the 94-95 Thunderbird V8) is there for a good reason...

..yes, I removed the limiter... stock driveshaft, H-Rated Falkens..

A: Because the shitty 2-piece not-very-well-balanced- drive shaft. High speeds=mad vibrations. Higher speeds=doom.

B: Because these cars came with shitty OEM Tires that couldnt go over 105...

What gears are in your car? I have 3.08's and once I reach 90, its like a brickwall hitting my car.. it suddenly stops. (not REALLY) but it just stops hauling... it will slowly crepp up to 105.. then it gets even SLOWER. BAH..

The person that had the car before me put 3.27 in there.....but did nothing else..?

I'm guessing that he killed his gears, somehow...and when he had to change them, figured "hell, lemme put something better in there"..

Other then that i removed my air silencer, and have a k&n cone filter in the fender wall with a stainless 2.5in (i believe) intake tube going to my throttle body......removed mufflers for a decent sound. Thats it though.

My next car HAS to hit 130 with no vibrations. I got my friends 00 se maxima up to 120 with from 60 and it was BUTTA.

I think you would have more of a chance off the line than anything. A T-bird I raced at the track pulled a 2.2 60' and ran a 15.2@88. I thought he did really well off the launch. Beat the hell out of me off the line.lol
