Just wondered if anyone has any detail shots of the Sauber Mercedes C9, I just picked up the Tamiya kit from the LHS for 15 bucks and have ordered the carbon decal and photoetch sets for it. I love this car and after being inspired by Robrex's build of the Jag for the Le Mans competition I want to try something similar on this beauty. But, I can't find any pics!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have a few detail shots of the engine and cockpit of the AEG sponsored Sauber C9, which will be near identical to the Tamiya '89 Le Mans version:

Glad I could help with the inspiration! It really was fun building the Jag, I'm sure you'll love the C9. Did you get the Scale Motorsport or Studio 27 detail set?
anyway, try this link for reference pics?

Zurbert, that would be great, I'll PM you with my e-mail.
Robrex, thanks for the link, and also for the inspiration. I've got a certain connection with this car, I was at Le mans when it won and in true Le Mans, hooligan fan style, me and my dad raided the track and we got the oil cap off the No. 63 car!!! My Sauber Mercedes T-Shirt got covered in the oil and a few months later I went to a sportscar race at Silverstone and all of the drivers, including M. Schumacher, and Peter Sauber signed the shirt for me. I may display the model on a base with the cap!!!
Also Robrex, what was your technique for opening up the doors and removing the nosecone?
The detail set I got was the Studio 27 one, it seemd a bit more comprehensive to me and the panel in the rear is not etched through like the scale motorsport one, it just all seemed a bit more realistic to me.

I this tool

It cuts perfectly and is really thin so you don't need to build the panels back up with styrene.
