Safe Mode 98 Jetta

i got some work done on my car and now when i try to turn the stereo on it says "Safe"
I have the code but the person i bought the car from didnt include the stereo manual.
how do i punch in the code?

I've had this problem before. Go to your nearest VW dealer and they should be able to give you the code for the radio. It isn't that easy to punch in the code, so ask for instructions to do so. When I went, they printed me up the safe mode password and they told me how to do it. Eventually I got the manual and it is easy to follow as well. Hopefully this works.
