this build is pretty self explanatory. lol. an OOB build with minimal detailing. i use these OOB's to get away from the extreme scratchbuilds. i'll point out a few goofs. the front and rear stripes aren't the same distance apart. i had the rear's cleared when i did the fronts. and cleared the fronts before i noticed they were further apart than the back. as for the window trim. im not pleased. nor am i ever with my p ainted trims. i need to learn to use BMF but it isn't locally available. anyone ever used the detail master stuff? it any good? all those specks you see is dryer lint. I am modelling in my kitchen on the bar so i have a reliable internet connection (friggin wireless) and music. and the bar separates our kitchen and our laundry room. paint is one of my duplicolor jobs in universal black, with duplicolor clear coat. worked like a charm. the paint has yet to be rubbed out or waxed or anything! comments welcome

I use the detail master stuff....not much though. I used it on my GSX, I'll try to put up a thread this weekend and you can see how it came out. You should wipe the dryer lint off the car!

i didn't realize it was as bad as it was until the pics were developed. lol. if i do chrome trim on my fairlane then i'll pick up the detail master stuff and give it a go. i need to get back to that fairlane. i got the prototype for the front suspension done, all i need to do is fab it up with my brass tubing so that it is stronger....

Looks like a great build, but is your camera really poor quality? It just seems like a "low res" kinda pic...

im not sure what the deal is with my camera. it is from a konica minolta SLR with a Macro Lense. 35mm. i have the pictures printed straight to a disk. not sure if its the process wal mart uses to put them on the disk or what. maybe i'll try just prints next time and see what happens. the pictures have also been shrunk quite a bit

I like it in black. I'm building the same kit right now in a dark burgandy and converted to a vinyl top.
