Horns Dead!

Hey Forum! This Morning I Pressed Down On The Horn And Nothing Came Out . I Figured It Was The Fuse But Guess What Cant Find The Fuse...is There A Fuse For This ? I Checked My Fuse Panel On The Side Of The Dash Board And Didnt See Anything That Said Hron! I Have A 95 Silverado With A 350 5.7 L If This Helps ......thanks For Looking And If Ya Can Help....gonzo

you might check under the hood see if there is a fuse there. or get your manual out and find what fuse controls the horn. or pull each fuse 1 by 1 till you find a blown one. another thing you might check is the conection on the horn it self they could be corroded or rusted. hope this helps

i looked under the hood and found 2 horns,on mounted behind the grill and one mounted just near the driver side head lights under the hood....i have a haynes manual that doesnt help me out .....thanks for the help

Try hot wiring the horns to the battery directly just to confirm that the horns work. The other thing is that your contact in your steering column might not be making contact to the constant contact ring.

I had a 90 Blazer that the horn didn't work right turns out the constant contact ring behind the steering wheel was dirty and only had different contact points. Try holding your horn button down and turning the wheel to see if your horns go off.
Nothing worse than having a vehicle with no working horn.
