an odd boost problem

i was at the track sunday and i normally have my boost set to level around 16....well i noticed when i was running, boost would spike at 15 and drop to 11 immediately. it was 103 degrees at the track, seriously. i got burnt so bad i look like a lobster. i don't know if the temp affected my boost or what, but i turned up the MBC a little and it was spiking at 19 and leveling at 17 - 18 so i let it be just for the track. so anyway i left early because i started to get dizzy, feel sick, and i had sweat pouring out of me. i think i was dehydrated. but i had to have my gf drive me home cause i felt so shitty and i forgot to lower the boost a bit....anyway later that night when it dropped to like 80, i got on it on the freeway and my boost spiked to 23 or so and leveled at like 19 - 20! so i got under the hood and readjusted the mbc to where i like it (16 or so). did the hot temperature affect this or what? i didn't do too bad at the track considering it was over 100 degrees. ran a 9.5 @ 76mph which isn't too bad on a stock turbo with minor mods.

WHOA! you ran a 9.5 at 76 MPH?
Is that an 1/8 mile track?
nevermind.

I don't see how a T25 can level at 19-20 psi unless thats below 5000-5500 rpm. Did you take it to redline?

no it didn't hold to redline, yes i took it to 7k every shift. it held 19 or so up till 5grand or so. i know the t2small isn't capable of holding that much to 5k. i don't know if it's a problem with the gauge or what. normally my car doesn't even hold 16. by the time i get to 5500 it's down to 15 then after that there's really nothing. and again just earlier tonight, boost would top out at 14 and hold it constant. normally spikes to around 17 and holds 15 - 16. ahhh this car is giving me too many headaches. i don't think my MBC is adjusting itself....heh
BTW - anyone have an EGR valve solenoid from a 2nd gen they wanna sell? if so, let me know.

Its obvious by the mph that it was an 1/8th mile run. 9.5 in the quarter would be around 150 mph. ;)
