Stock Upper Mounts?

I've recently been looking at some full coilover sets from tein, tanabe and others and have noticed that many of them use "stock upper mounts." Does this mean that I will need to disassemble my stock suspension and take the mounts from there? I would like the suspension install to be a straight bolt on installation because I don't have access to a spring compressor. I've also noticed some kits come with pillowball upper mounts and would like to know exactly what those are. Any help would be appreciated.

Pillow ball mounts are the best way to. Instead of rubber bushings they are usually steel/aluminum plates with real bearings. They don't give like rubber and they give you better feel of the car. Many pillow ball mounts come with adjsutable camber plates.

So I would need to disassemble my stock strut/spring assembly to get the upper mounts off if I were to go with a kit without pillowball mounts is that correct? I think maybe I'll just save for the pillowball mounts if they will make quite a big difference.

90% of the true coilovers come with mounts, either pillow ball or stock style.
True coilovers and pillow ball mounts are over kill for street use but if you think you need them, it's your $$$$.
