Okay, So I got new springs for my 98 Jetta. I need to know how to get the old ones out. From what I've looked at, Its only a single bolt on the top of the strut assembly, So I need to compress the spring before I can unbolt the strut assembly? - Also, Is it the same on the rear of the car? where I have to unbolt it from the top?
Thanks Cody

Front uses one 21mm nut to remove and then unbolt from hub.
Rear needs to go in through trunk i believe and pull back carpeting from the shock towers.
Yes you need a spring compressor unless you want to blow your head off when the spring lets loose .
highly reccomend replacing the stock shocks too. within a year you will need to do so anyway.
