Is it cheaper to uninstall my tranny and put in new synchronizers or is it cheaper to buy a used tranny? I never had to change the synchronizers before and I don't really know what all goes into doin it. My 2nd grinds going into gear sometimes it doesn't even go in. My 3rd just chips the flywheel when I shift it. I am gonna try new shift linkage then if not the problem I will take out the tranny. Thanks alot I know yall are professionals here..

Taking aprt a transmission is akin to a jigsaw puzzle. Not to be discouraging, but if you don't have experiance doing it, and need the car operational in a timely manner, I would have a pro do it, or buy a new one. You should be able to find another Y21 for under 600 easy.
