FUC|< WORK!!!

I needed a job despretely, so I took what ever I could get.

My first paycheck was $109.


Now, technically I'm still a kid..taking a summer vacation. I thought these places that hired minors were supposed to be SOMEWHAT flexible?

FLEXIBLE MY ASS. I took 3 FUCKING DAYS OFF, and THEY'RE GRILLING MY ASS, SAYING HOW I TAKE TOO MUCH TIME OFF. WTF? 3 FUCKING DAYS? Then, on July 3rd I'm going on vacation with my family to my parent's friend's BBQ. I tell them I want the 3rd off, and they get all pissed off saying "I DONT WORK HARD ENOUGH" WHAT THE FUCK? THATS FUCKING BULLSHIT. Then I ask if I can work in the morning on JULY 1st, and they say I could take Friday off. W T F ? First you're saying I take too much time off, then I dont work hard enought? NOW YOU'RE GIVING ME TIME OFF? FUCKING IDIOTS. AND WTF I DONT WORK HARD ENOUGH? EXCUSE ME, I'M FUCKING SWEEPING, WIPING DOWN THE SEATS, WIPING THE TABLES, REFILLING THE FOOD, STOCKING THE FOOD IN THE FREEZER, MAKING THE FOOD, CLEANING THE BATHROOM, CLEANING THE MIRRORS AND WINDOWS?? WTF IS YOUR SON DOING? WIPING THE FUCKING SANDWICH TRAY, WORKING THE REGISTER, AND FUCKING COUNTING THE MONEY. Then I'm like "WTF. if you gave me my schedule for the week, maybe I wouldnt have to take so much time off, IF I ACTUALLY KNEW WHAT MY HOURS WERE!" To which I get back "Well you're never here." NO FUCKING SHIT. IF YOU GAVE ME MY FUCKING WEEK-LONG SCHEDULE, MAYBE I WOULD BE HERE YOU IDIOT!" Then they complain I dont work hard enough, yet they only gave me 3rs to work tomorrow? WELL SHIT. And it pisses me off. They're Indian, so they're on that "MUST WORK HARD AS SHIT" ethics. I'm not saying that they should be lazy, but these are the type of people, when they were in elementry school, they did homework during recess.

PS, I work at Subway. I'm considering quitting to work at a garage.

Oh yeah, and to top things off tonight, I HIT A FUCKING SKUNK. PLUS IT JUST RAINED AND I WASHED MY CAR YESTERDAY. FUCK MOTHER NATURE.

Yeah I quit my last job because of that. I told my boss about a pre-paid vacation 2 months in advance and said I couldn't go without even looking at the date. 2 months rolls by and I decided to go anyways, but I couldn't tell him because he wasn't at work for 3 days. I said, screw it and went anyways. Word got to me that he was crazy mad. No one could fill my spot for a week and the business almost went down.

Tip for bosses: pay your overworked employee's better and give them the respect they deserve... and for the sake that you keep your business on your feet, don't have 1 man work a shift that needs 3 people you cheap damn bastards.

Ive worked in the food industry (actually once at a subway for a few months), retail, etc. It all sucks, dont stress out about it though, you arent responsible for anything major so no need to worry. If you half ass wipe a window no one is going to die, hell you might even save a birds life. Do what I did once when my boss at my first grocery store said I wasnt working hard enough. Tell him that your not going to bust your ass for a little above minimum wage in a job where your only working about 20hrs a week. Tell him you will do $x.xx ammount of work for an hour then take the rest of the hour off. You will either get canned or what happened to me (the 2nd time I did that), I got a nice fat raise and my own department.

You said you only started working there a little while ago, one thing that doesnt sit to well with employers is asking for time off right after you get hired, it makes them think that you will always be pulling this crap even if you wont. They want someone dependable, even if it is for only 20hrs a week. Working at subway isnt that bad, make sandwich, clean stuff, put food in bin. Thats about all there is to it, dont stress about it.

If you have a job at a garage lined up, fuck subway. But if you dont have a job lined up dont expect to get hired. If you arent certified or know someone who works at a garage they dont want you. Im not trying to kill your dreams or anything and who knows you might be lucky enough to get on but most places wont hire you.

Oh and one more thing, dont you fucking hate how every day when you come home from work you smell like the nastiest sub ever created? Its the damn bread man, all that bread being baked all day long makes your clothes stink. Break the bread oven, you will be much happier.

I washed my car a few fridays ago, it rained the saturday night for the first time in over a month, go figure.

My friends father works there... heres how this came about....

Me, my friend, and another friend went to this garage. The owner of the shop said to us "come back in a week. You all can do something, and I'll hire one of ya." Immediately, they both pointed at me and said, "he knows the most about cars"

Also, come to find out, the owner of the garage is the father to a friend of the girl i like..

And yea, my car smells like subway. And filling the dressing is a SOB. Trying to hold the bag up to fill the canister, then the bag collapses and shit goes every where.

But when no one is paying attention, I go in the freezer, and eat some chicken or cheese..lol
