I tryed to be a good wife and washed my husband's S10. Now the wipers don't work. I pulled the blades away from the windshield when I was washing, could that have caused them to quit? Also he has a problem with the heater, it won't blow on the floor. Would like to get this heater fixed before another cold Michigan winter. This is my first post, hope someone can help me. Thanks.

I wish that my girlfriend was nice like you and washed my car from time to time, but since she doesn't wash her truck either I can't say much.
The wiper problem is probably the fuse.
If the fuse is good you'll have to turn them on, and see if you have power at the motor, with a test light. This is an easy job just remove the plug, turn the key on, wiper switch on... hook the one side of the test light to a ground (the - side of the battery will work nicely or just about any bare steel under there) And if the light turns on it's the motor.
If not it's either the wiring, or more likely the switch. Check the ground again before you buy any new parts.
The heater controls work off of vaccum, so look for a leak under the dash. Other than that I don't know but someone else might

the heater floor vent vacuum actuator probably took a dump. if it changes to the other vents with no problems then it is safe to say the floor vent actuator is bad. test it to make sure it holds vacuum. if it doesnt. replace it.

Depending on the year of the S10, could be a bad wiper circuit board. I've taken mine to the dealer twice under recall notices. Call up the local dealership/service department ask them about the recall on the wiper circuit board they'll ask for a VIN and tell you to bring it in if it applies to you.

I had a 1994 s-10 pickup. it was the wiper circuit board and the 94 was not part of the recall! The part cost $105!!! Easy to replace in a box under the hood near the driver's side wiper. Good luck, it's annoying.
