Will 31 inch tall tires fit on a 1987 Cherokee Pioneer with the stock suspension? If not, what is the biggest size I can fit without problems?

I dont belive 31's would fit 30x9.5 would be the most but you still might get a little rub. I was running 32's with a 3inch lift the rubbed pretty good in the back because I removed the sway bar. and in the front when I was turned hard over and that was with the sway bar connected. Had I not I would have had a whole mess of problems. But they were functional on and off road. If you want to runs 31's I would say get a budget lift. my the inch lift only cost 119 from jcw. easy to install and you dont have to worry about longer brake lines or anything else, you can even use your stock shocks.

Check out this web page, posted by someone in the Wrangler forum. Can't vouch for its accuracy though.

I have a 2" lift and am running 31 x 10.5 x 15 procomps, looks sweet, only rubs on the front when turned fully to either right or left
