i own a 97 camaro rs with the 3800 series engine... i did a tune-up on it (new plugs, wires, etc.) and when i pulled it outta the garage it was coughing and popping like chitty chitty bang bang. My bill is up to 400.00 so far and it's not any different than when i brought it in. On diagnostics it's fine but driving it is horrible. Going up hills or whenever else the engine has to work a lil bit it shimmies and sputters and has no power whatsoever. I need help, i'm running outta ideas and money!!!

nope, it's been 2 weeks in and out of the shop (where i work) and it's received a new crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, coil pack, ignition module, plug wires, plugs, more plugs, fuel treatments and filters, and a half dozen tries on the diagnostics... it doesn't show any problem on the diagnostics anymore, but the problem itself hasn't been changed at all. The next thing i'm trying is a new computer, because someone guessed it to be the coil driver in the computer itself...

FIXED IT!!! after $500.00 in parts, i found out that one of the plug wires had a single strand of wire coming out by the boot. it must have been arcing the spark... just a teeny tiny fray of a wire, ouch.
