I have run across some Firestone drag tires(don't have the model handy) that I am tempted to try out on my truck...
I have had different answers from different cops:confused:.
Does anyone have a link for checking the legality of a tire model?
or are there certain aspects a tire must have to be legal?

I think all street legal tires will have D.O.T. stamped on the sidewall somewhere... In any case to be legal a tire needs a minumum of 2/32 tread depth, so if it's a slick that has no tread pattern or if it's got less than that it's not legal.
You might give www.tirerack.com a try to see if you can find that exact model tire. If they have it available it should tell you if it's DOT legal or not.
