Nitrous

About a week ago I got curious about nitrous so I started reading. I've done 4-5 hours reading manufacturers websites, some stuff at dsmtuners.com, and picking through old threds here, but still have some questions. What are the supporting mods necessary for nitrous? Could stock internals handle like a 25 shot? 50 shot? 75 shot? 100 shot? Thanks in advance for any help.

Basically the stock internals can handle a certain amount of airflow/cylinder pressure. Locally, high 11 second runs were made on a T28 with a 75 shot. At the same time, with a bigger turbo, even a 25 shot might be enough to break something. As long as you know it's about the power and pressure, if you really want to do this on stock internals you will have to copy someone's setup that has been reliable, or test something and have some mistake money in the bank. Goes without saying that it also depends on the milage/condition etc...

thats a hard question to answer correctly, becasue of all the veriables involved (engine condition, current mods, exc). manufacturs Holly(nos) & Zex recomend no larger then 40-60shot on 4cy on stock fuel systems. when air denisity increaes fuel need will increase. if your installing a nitrous system on an closely maxed out fuel trim, upgrades will be needed.

i personaly would not try no2 without a logger device, air/fuel controler, colder plugs, and performance wires at minumum. and defently not start with somthing larger then a 35shot. after that tuning is what makes power. i've heard of people running 75shots on their stock blocks. i've also heard of people blowing a head gasket on 35.
