could someone explain how it is removed and how easy the task is. the dealer quoted $124 for labor so I am curious on how big of a job it is. I can only see one of the bolts that hold it on and I imagine there are at least two if not three. thanks in advance

It's not too bad to remove the starter but it is a pain in the backside to get the new one back on. Helps to have a good tool kit with some universal joint socket adapters. It took me about 2 hours to do the job myself and a lot of mumbling and kicking and several nicks and cuts to my hands because the space is so tight. If you have large hands I would advise having it done, if you have patience and small to medium sized hands it's not that bad.

Not a bad job at all. (2) bolts, 15mm wrench, and about 20-30 minutes to change one. The Nippon starter solenoid can be fixed for about 10$ with a new contact kit....

Good luck, Gary.
