Newbie Just Bought A 89 Iroc

Hey guys what's up this is my first time posting here, well i this last weekend i bought me a 1989 iroc, it has a new gm 350 H.O. engine, with rebuilt 700r4, and 9 bolt posi rear end. On my way to work today i popped my cherry i completely killed a new nissan 350z, the guy got all pissed off saying i took of early, well we lined up again and the son of a whore takes off early so launched and stille killed him by two cars. The guy i bought car from said my IROC has about 330rwhp.

That must suck. I took off most of the a/c besides heater box, (i still need the no a/c airbox, which i should be getting this weekend) but i have absolutely no a/c. The f***** car is a heater it self in the summer, shes all black and stores in all the heat.

Yeah my Monte is too, but I just cant stand the A/C too cold, too hot, the just right doesnt FEEL just right, lol. I'd rather roll the windows down man.

All i need is 255. 2 windows down, 55mph. Or should i say 255t-top off.

My maro has some mods, slp cai, slp headers, air foil, port & polished heads, 3" flowmaster cat-back system, custom tunning, my 700r4 is completely rebuilt with shift kit, corvette servo. it has a 9 bolt posi rear end. and aluminum drive shaft.

Yeah, most of the 350 tpi maro and birds came with the 9 bolt (Borg Warner i believe) and it strong as hell. Very hard to find aftermarket for it.

I may be wrong here but aren't 9 bolt's made by FORD??? :confused:I thought it was more of a toss up between a Chevy 12 Bolt and a Ford 9 Bolt as to which was "tougher"????:confused:

to true, I agree because I really think his 2.8 will beat your stupid accord, sorry but you already got on my bad side. I know my Camaro stands up to a 99 ACCORD and his 2.8 having 5, FIVE horsepower less than mine will more than overkill your old Accord.

My bad, just checked Jeg's... didn't realize that 9" rear ends were also made for GM's. I had only notice them referenced to Fords and Crustangs.

looks like someone has a case of the rice disease, the whole invincible japaneese thing going on. i had fun at the junkyard yesterday, lots of hondas were there. its like a domestics paradise. you get to see lots of cooked rice..... by the way wright i like your idea, find us a hill and some hondas. we will still own em if were rolling down it. lol oh and rs92... it pretty much looks just like yours, but it has the gold 16" rims. but i'll ask my cousin to take a couple of pics this weekend maybe.

As far as the 9 bolt, it is not a 9 inch rear end. it is a 7.75in rear end. made by an australian company that was bought out by Borg Warner, the company is still around, but i havent asked them about parts availability for the unit in our rear end. Which has a designation like M75 or something, i dont rememer right now. Its a helluva lot stronger than the 10 bolt due to several design differences, and its bad ass. Its pure GM baby, nothing blue oval about it.
