I've been having a problem with my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee just dying without any warning, it was the computer and I fixed that when it finally died and wouldn’t start. I had also replaced the fuel pump and just about every sensor on it before that. My problem is now and it’s been there for several years just getting worse now it that sometimes when you pull out of a parking lot or away from a stop sign it will bog down like it is getting no fuel but it doesn’t sputter it just gets real weak then it will pickup and go. I’m thinking maybe fuel pressure regulator or fuel pickup problem. Does anybody have the answer? it appears that I'm not the only one who has had this problem.

My '94 GJC was stalling and weak, and instead of a tune-up I invested in a $3 bottle of Gumout fuel injector cleaner. Maybe it's coincidence, but it corrected the problems. You might want to try that on a fresh tank of gas while you research other possibilities.

I'm running that now. I just bought the filter/pressure regulator from the dealership for $118! I'll install it this weekend, if I had time to wait I could have gotten it from newjeepparts.com for $96 but I couldn't do it next weekend.
