Leather Or Cloth?

i have cloth interior in my 94 and both my brother and my mom have leather in their camaros. am i the only one that likes the cloth better. i think the dark colored leather looks better, i almost had mine reupholstered in black leather. but i just slide off the seats every time i get in their cars. maybe i just dont weigh enough or something.

I prefer cloth, I think it feels really good and im also not a big fan of leather since I live in Texas where it gets hotter than hell and you sit down on hot leather its not cool..Also you dont have to care much for cloth unlike leather.

I have leather in the Trans Am and cloth in the Grand Am.

I perfer cloth aswell. The other day when it ws almost like a 100 here in boston, i was trying to drive with a leather steering wheel, not cool at all. Shit was burning like crazy. Cloth all the way baby!!

Yeah and besides.... If your woman cuts one loose on a cloth seat you won't know about it (unless it's an egger) and ruin the ambience for you. No one in his right mind wants to get a piece of a farty ass.

Although, from a MAN's standpoint, it is more fun to fart on leather than cloth... something about the sound just makes it all the more funny.

Yeah I hate my Camaro's steering wheel because I remember coming to it after school and litterally having to put a shirt on it because of how hot it is, lol.

Funny, because i was looking for a cloth like material while i was driving, but didn't have anything in the car, forgot i just clean it. I had to suck it up and absorb the heat into my hands. Have you seen the movie Cursed? When they touch silver? Shit thats how i felt.

I like put my hands UNDER the steering wheel where the sun didnt hit much or anyway I could without having to really suck it up unless I had too.

Nope, too far away to drive there for boredom so I cant, its just stuff I had to do when my Maro was working, then what was worse before was that my window motor was starting to go out on me, so I couldnt roll it down as quick as I wanted to.

Damn that sux. Anu update on the maro? Have you done anything to it? Take it one day at a time.

Nope no update on Menace (thats my name for her, lol) see I have no money for a freaking engine and I dont know where to start so I can begin getting the engine out so dont know.. BUT like a day after my birthday I got my motor window fixed with the help of my big bro so I was happy until she died.

Damn, sorry about that man. No job openings in the area? 305 would be a decent motor to start off with. Build it up, learn everything about building motors while in the process, and when your ready, go for the big money, at least that what i'm doing. 305 are everwhere, should be able to get one for free. Then you would have to change, tranny possibly, fuel setup, rear possibly, shit forgot about all that, that cost money, i have ajob and can't really do all that shit. Why am i still writing this post?

Lol, well what im looking at is staying with a 6, either get a 3.4 or a 3.1, whatever im getting though im boreing it out and do alot of engine stuff to it before I put it in the Maro. See I want an engine that wont require me to get a new fuel pump, tranny, and all that other stuff for now.

Yeah, that is a smart move. I was checking out that forcefed website and those numbers beening put down by those turbo sixers are increible, might be a project in the future, i assume?

ya know the little silver tabs on the ignition that our key sits between? have you ever gotten out of school and tried to start the car (of course using the tabs to turn ignition) and those fuckers are burning hot!!!! and your car is piswed cause its baking so it takes a little while to start and you burn the shit outta your fingers the first 4 times you try to start the damn thing and it finally starts and your so pissed cause now your fingers hurt and you put it in gear nd the shifter was also as hot as a mother and then you grab the steering wheel and your like SHIT!!! and thats burning off the wazoo so your cant drive good cause you can only hold the crappy spots on the weel for like 5 seconds then you see a cop and your driving ll swervy cause your cars not allighned so ou just suck it up grab the wheel and realize your seat belts not on so you grab that and its burning worse then your freaking wheel but you gotta put it on so you suck it up again and click it then your arm rest burns the crap outta your left arm so you have to rest your arm on nothing and it just sucks ass. man i need to get some dark dark dark tint. ya know what when i get my dipstick and put it in and get the maro running good im gonna go get it tinted. but for now.......damn

Lol 88 never had it THAT bad, I never put my fingers on that, I use the KEY to turn it on and my Maro always started up fine even in 120+ degree weather. :)

Hee hee, that's all the problems with a stock wheel, I have a grant and the chrome feels wonderfully toasty, the heck with the ignition tabs.

And all these guys out there all winter doiintg almunium or stainless dashboards that's gotta suck.

Sounds like what happen to me this past saturday, i felt like i had as-ma (sp). Shifter was burning, belt was burning. I accidentially touch the f***** door, not the handle. My hand was smoking :smokin: .

Its funny because I HAVE to have my right hand on SOMETHING when im driving, for like a comfort kind of thing. When I was in my Maro and it was that hot and I couldnt hold onto the shifter I was sad, lol. Just like to have my hand on it even though its an auto.

What does the seat pattern look like? Never been an any 4th gen, except ones at the yard, and the seats were missing.

the stitching is a different, kinda like big blocks of contrasting colors, somewhat resembling those of its older brother the third gen. where as 98+ has stripes almost.

I've seen an early 4th gen's seats and needless to say..ugly.. I CHOOSE MY BROWN CLOTH CHAIR!

id go with cloth, leather needs to be taken care of and after awhile it will start to crack and fall apart, and like everyone else said it gets hot

leather gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

unless you got them sweet ass cadillac chairs that have heat and ac'd seats, id prefer that type of leather.

I have leather... and I hate it. Makes me sweat like a pig, and I'm in Florida. So you could imagine how hot it gets. So I went to wal-mart and bought some cloth seat covers to put over them. Ghetto.. yes. But hey, whatever works. Plus, they actually don't look that bad.

I usually put seat covers on because they look cool. :)

geebus man, i live in virginia, about a mile from the river, summer time its 95 degrees and 500% humidity, id never be able to peel myself off of leather seats, count me among the cloth fans.

Cloth > leather. 97+ interior > 93-96 interior.

when i was visiting family on vacation this last week in PA, i was in my cousin's car. she has leather seats. they gave me swamp-ass.

Swamp-ass is worst. I was in my brother's jeep and got out for about 30 secs to a minute and when I got back in I could feel the freaking heat coming in through my pants from the leather seats.

yeah man swamp ass is killer. that sucks. also when you sit in a puddle (puddlebutt), thats gay too. but its better then swamp ass cuse its on the outside of your pants. lol damn i was laughing so hard while i typed that
