howdy
my son and i are just starting a total redo of his 75 camaro.
pretty much everything is bad, well, not too bad.
350 runs good, recently rebuilt, i guess ??
floors are bad, and i think the rear frame might be going bad.
any tips on where to get parts, ect. would be greatly appreciated.
my son is only 15, he wants his car done before he graduates from high school

glad to be here

Alright I looked around and came out with these sites.

http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/index.html?cat=ALL&year=1975&make=CHEVROLET&model=CAMARO

http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=8

http://www.drclassic.com/catalog/Camaro

The first one has alot of parts on there even floors.
Second is also good cause its yearone!
Third site is for all generations.

Nice, a fellow 2nd gen!

They pretty much covered all the places: The Paddock and Year One have the biggest catalogs, although I've heard some of the parts aren't always available... never happened to me. There was another guy in here with a 2 gen needed alot of body parts... had a blue 73 I think, if you look up my previous posts you should be able to find us talking about parts, etc.

Year One tends to be expensive... Are you going to restore to factory or are you making it look nice and be mean as hell?

You may be better off buying a rolling chassis or a parts car if you need alot, you can quickly spend serious cash... but I guess you already realized that.

Oh well, Good Luck, keep me posted I'm interested to see how it turns out.

Heh you know whats funny, when I was asking my mom about the kind of Camaro that I wanted, I originally wanted a 2nd gen because what my dad had, but I ended up with the third gen instead!

Yeah, kill the caps lock, lol. If you're going the bad ass route... look at WWW.Jegs.Com (http://www.Jegs.Com) cheaper parts than the resto catalogues like year one. Mainly high power stuff though, no body parts, etc. If you're not doing a concours resto they may be able to save you some $ on the mechanical stuff.
