97 Tracer Cooling Fan Control Module?

My 97 tracer has started overheating intermittently at low speeds and in stop and go traffic. The dealer replaced the raditor and the thermostat, but it's still doing it (grrrrr). I've noticed that the elec cooling fan doesn't come on at when the aircon is turned on and only operates intermittently when the engine is hot. Is there a control module for this fan? and if so, where is it? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

If it was overheating and that was the reason you took it to the dealer, you got shafted. Take it back to them and let them know what is going on. Be assertive! It sounds like you got what you didn't need and didn't get what you did need. If you want to check into it yourself, look for 2 temperature sensors to the right of where the top hose goes into the engine. The one on the left is for the gauge and the one on the right is for the ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature). The one on the right sends information to the computer to control the fan. Maybe it's not hooked up or has a bad connection. Unplug and plug both of them back in.I'm thinking that may be your problem. Also, the ECT sensor could be bad. It's easy to replace. I hope you get everything worked out. Dave.
