a few questions about the converts acctually.
basicly i am looking for a convertable car as a backup car that is fun to drive. not so much interested in the performance aspect right now, i have a 92 GSX that is taking care of that ATM.
so, there are a few things that i cant really find about the RX7s....
do they all come with the BBS rims? if not, then was it an option, or a trim level of the convertable?
how hard are the tops to re-build? i am sure it will need it... couldn't find a walkthrough.
Do they have an LSD, or open diff?
can you use 87 or 89 oct?
what sort of fuel economy did they get? (i saw this somewere, but cant find it again)
did they have the better brakes? or the ones from the base model?
and i guess, the question that i care least about, but might as well know - how hard is it to put the turbo 2 motor in? didn't see it mentioned anywere.
right now i am bouncing around between 89+ RX-7 (yes, the 14 HP matters to me) and the BMW 325 converts of the same years...

the convertible has the same brakes as the turbo rx7, they all came with the bbs rims, and i belive its open diff. a little know fact about them is that the rear subframe is beefier than the coupe verison (of course offset by the vert's extra weight). its a pretty slow car though, but its cool to just have fun in. but if you want mileage go for the german car
