Curious bout increasing acceleration?

Hey, i was curious what i would what to do, to increase acceleration? sorry if its too broad of a question. Also what if anything would change the mileage on my car? i believe its like 33 highway 20 something street. and id hate to ruin that since i put like 400 miles a week on my car. Thanks!

You should put your car year and model in your signature and use the search.

As performance goes up, gas mileage will tend to go down. That said, to increase acceleration numbers, I would start with simply an exhaust/intake combo. That sure didnt hurt my acceleration.

no actually bolt on mods usually dont decrease gas milage, they usually increase gas milage. A better flowing exhaust works easier and makes more power with less. The reason people think you lose gas mileage is because people tend to push the accelerator down more.

True, if it's more efficient, it won't have to work as hard to make the same power it did, lol, if you don't change your driving style.
A new intake will help it breathe in easier, and if you cut off that factory muffler it will exhale better, just don't get a fart can, as they are called here, it's just an opinion, but I like the big oval shaped one-piece racing muffler. Thay have a deeper sound.

If you want more accel, focus on torque. More HP translates into a higher top speed, but not always a significant torque boost as well. So see how much torque increase the mods'll give you.
