What's up everybody! Today I installed a turbosmart mbc and when I boost I cannot here my bov blow-off, rather I here my tires chirping alot. I was wondering if I couldn't here it because of my tires chirping. Because before I put the mbc on I could here it. I wanted to know was this normal or has someone else experienced this. I have the greddy type s bov. Thanks!

C'mon guys help me out because I don't want to mess anything up. I don't know if it's compressor surge or not. The car doesn't jerk or buck or anything under boost, it's just when I go to shift gears or just let of the gas it sounds like the tires chirp. I don't think the bov setting is too tight bcuz it's at the same place before I put the mbc on. Please let me know of something.

Did you install it properly?
Also, are you sure that the "tire chirping" sound isn't your BOV?
What is your boost set at?

you'll hear your bov when you release pressure in your intercooler pipes anytime your throddle plate closes.

I set it up the way I had read up on setting it up. I teed into the bov line that goes into the intake manifold, I have a line going from there to the mbc, and the other end of the mbc is going to the wastegate actuator. The nipple on the turbo has a cap on it, and the line that was coming from the bcs to the intake was capped to. At first I set it at 13psi and I heard that sound. Then I closed the mbc all the way so that it would be back at the factory setting, which was 10psi and I get the same sound. I was reading up about compressor surge and how it's not good for the turbo. Maybe that's it. I don't know. That's why I'm asking. Maybe that's what that sound is instead of the tires. I just want ot fix it.

Nevermind, I figured out the problem. I teed into the bov line to the intake manifold. That's what was causing my bov to make that sound. I ran a line from the nipple on the compressor to the mbc to the wastegate actuator, and now all is good.
