head lights

i have a '00 honda civic lx .the problem is that the head lights are dimm.I tried changing the bulbs to those expensive super white bulbs from auto zone.that didnt really help, I think maybe its the wiring ,is there something i can add so that there could be more power going into the head lights ,

maybe check your fuses...? just a though, but i dont know if the wiring would be it... maybe your Alt. isnt charging your battery enough or your battery is going bad.. that could def. be it
