Help on electrical Mirrow, and Help On a rear side window

Ok. So i havent had such great luck these past two weeks. I been hit by an 18 wheeler once this past friday and another time the friday before. Anyways. I bought an electrical mirror and i have installed it. However the wire cord that came with it, well i dont know where it goes in that opening. is there another area that i can open to give me access to wear it needs to be plugged into??

Also my rear small window was shattered and its still together but its all cracked. i have a part to replace it. however i dont know how to go about that.

You help will really be great and i would really appreciate it.

First, remove the rear seat. Then remove the screws from the interior panel and remove it. At this point you shound see the back side of the window. Notice all of the little gold nuts around the glass?!?!?!

Remove them and apply even pressure to the window from the inside and it should come right out. (Note: it is best to park the car in the sun for about 1 hour prior to doing this last step. The heat will soften the adhisive between the body and the glass).

Once the old glass is removed, clean the surface around the window opening with a light solvent (Enamel Reducer or Minerial Spirits).

To install the new window, apply the new seal kit (Available at any glass shop), and press the new window down evenly until the threaded ends reach through the back side. Install the gold nuts and finger tighten. Then slowly tighten each nut using a cris-cross pattern until the window is tight and sealed.

Do you know anything about the electric side mirror? i have it screwed in but i dont know where the cord connects to. i cant reach anything in that opening where the wire drops.

The rear seat comes out rather easily ....... Push back on the lower seat and then pull up on the seat. (i find it best to be IN the back seat with my knees against the seat for leverage! Once the bottom seat is out, you will have two bolts holding the back of the seat to the floor. Once those are out, lift up on the seat back. It should just pop out and up!

As for the mirror, I'm not really sure. I would think that you should have a harness connector inside the door within reach of the end of the mirror wiring. Ford didn't change the door wiring much over the years.

You may have to feal around in there until you find it. Once you find it, it may be a PITA to get it apart!

ok, let me make sure you know which window i am talking about. it sounds like you are referring to the back of the car window like the windshield. the window i am talking about is right next to the driver side electrical window. its that small triangular shape glass.

NO, NOT the rear window with the defroster element in it ...... I am talking about the small triangular shape glass that is just behind the door. (It is commonly refured to as a "1/4 Panel Glass" or "Rear 1/4 window"). If you are sitting in the back seat, and you would turn your head 90 degrees, you would be able to look out of it!

You have to remove the rear seat to get to all of the screws in the interior panel were the rear speaker is!!!!! Once that panel is removed, you can get to the window to remove it. Here is a link to a photo of the panel you need to remove. http://www.alistauto.com/95lx00267.jpg

If you are not sure of what you are doing ..... Please DONT!!! Find a body shop or a friend that has done one before!
