My cav has recently started a routine of stalling and kind of stuttering while driving. Sometimes it will kind of jerk and loose engine power, pumping the gas to it usually revives it, if not it will stall out. Other times its almost ilke the foot was taken right off the pedal and it slows down in a hurry, i will pull over and sometimes it keeps going, or else it stalls. Its a 2.2 auto, 1993. Im thinking could this be signs of fuel pump starting to fail, or would that up and die at once. IT happens multiple times during a trip, 3 or 4 times that is on my commute to work (50 mi trip) SOmetimes the check engine light comes on but i got no codes when jumping the A & B ports (cept a code 12). I did just replace the spark plugs, coudl it be the fact tht i bout the cheaper ones? not the cheapest, they bosh plat, but who knows... any suggestions? I wanna make it sellable and buy a newer cav.

Sometimes those have a problem with older cars. That and I'd suggest a can of SeaFoam or some other fuel injector cleaner.

Its definitely an intermittent problem...an electrical one I would think.Makes me think something is losing ground....or else terminals in a connection are loose or corroded.Or,an injector is hanging up.If it has over 100,000 miles ANYTHING is possible,as sensors/components werent designed with 100+ in mind.Take 02 sensors for example....60,000 miles tops.(that doesnt mean they dont last more than that, its just that would be a bonus).
