I have a 99 alero 2.4L and i would like to gain lil bit more power on the car. I'm not tryin to make it a racing car, i just want more power than it has. I want to know if there is a cold air intake for this kind of engine? Because i've been looking everywhere i can't find one. I would appriciate if someone helps me. Thanks.

I have a 3.4L so I don't know TOO much about your engine, but if you look for performance upgrades for the Cavaliers/Sunfires with the same engine, you can find a bunch of stuff...or so I've heard.

Since they use the same engine, everything engine mod wise will be able to go onto your Alero.

You can but remember that the cavalier and the sunfire also come in 2.2 litre ecotec motor as well, so make sure that if you buy anything you get the one of the 2.4 litre. You can also look at the some of the Grand Am or the Malibu performance parts because they also come in the 2.4 litre motor. Here is a few places that might help you out a little

You could go to a GM dealer and see if there are any significant performance upgrades that can be flashed into the EEPROM. This costs about $75. I had it done to my '99 Alero with a 2.4 L engine. I noticed improved performance after a cold start.

There is a web page at: http://calid.gm.com/vci/ where you can enter your VIN and you will get a list of available modifications to the EEPROM software.
