Blower AND Wiper problem

The front windshield wipers and front heat/AC blower on my 1995 Suburban started working intermittently.

All the fuses are good, and everything else seems to work.

I poked around under the hood and found that if I pull on the ‘big’ wiring harness attached to the firewall behind the engine, I can get the wipers and blower to start working again.

Sometimes when I am pulling on the wiring harness I can hear hissing/popping from a connection making/breaking. It sounds like the hissing/popping is coming from inside of the wiring harness. I can’t see any obvious signs of chafing or other damage.

Does anyone know if there is a connector inside the wiring harness?

Does anyone know if there is any common wiring to the wipers and blower that could lead me to the cause? I seached the Suburban forum and did not come up with anything.

Thanks.

Solved.

Fooled around with the wiring bundle and located a 12 GA black wire with a lug on it that was supposed to be grounded.

Grounded the lug to the firewall and problems gone.
