HI Guys,

I am new to this forum, have a question, looking for another engine for my 97 Honda Passport, runs great and ut has 215,000 miles...mostly highway miles and original transmission (knock on wood), I would like to put a later model Passport 3.2 and/or a larger engine...need a little more power...what would you suggest and what is needed.

My truck is all paid off and want to keep it as a second car.

Peace,

Ninpo23

You're stuck with the engine you have now, unless you want to shell out big bucks to fit in a new engine, wireharness, ECU and the such.

Used +98 engines go for 2000-3000, toss in all the other stuff you would need to buy and then have the custom fab job of putting it in your in the ball park of 4000-6000 buck.

You could buy a used +98 for that much now.

If you want a little more power stick with the basics, Intake (K+N drop in filter, staff away from the cone, unless you plan to make a heat shield), and muffler (get a free flowing one).
