rear collision-alignment/tranny problems

2 days ago I was hit from behind in the Left Rear side of 2000 Rodeo LSE.
Since then my ABS light has been coming on, and the transmission (an automatic) sometimes acts like it is a 5 speed being driven by a 14 year old (very jerky, tires screech, etc). This happens when accelerating from a stop light, and after coasting for a few seconds then accelerating again.
The alignment also seems wonky, veers right and steering wheel crooked.
Rear ride height also seems low and uneven.
My main question is...do the tranny problems seem like it could be caused by the rear end collision? I've never experienced anything like it before.
Im planning on going to some shops for some estimates/advice before i meet with the other guy's insurance.
Thanks in advance for your posting.

I'll bet it is from the accident. Take care of it immediately, you don't want his insurance company to say it happened after.

I agree, have a qualified mechanic look it over thoroughly!!!!! You might even have a bent frame which cause some driveline binding, and your truck to ride sideways.
