'99 F-150 interior light stays on

I have a '99 F-150 and the interior light stays on constantly. i have had the fuse pulled on it for a while but am tired of not having light at night time. i had a 95 ranger that had the same problem and the dealership did not know what the problem was. supposedly it happened quite a bit on those year models. any ideas?????
