This always starts a fight. I don't like them at all. You draw the hot air from the engine. Grand Prixs run best on cold air. CAI (cold air box) or FWI (fender well) are the best.

I agree with Jim. Advertisement is misleading & deceptive. Save your money up and get something that really works.

If you remove the stock airbox where do you plan on mounting the ECU/PCM and it didn't address whether there was a fitting for the IAT sensor? :dunno:

If your tight on money i wouldnt waste any on a intake when all you need to do is take a saw to your stock airbox and gut it.

looks like they're getting you with shipping as well. if money's tight a homemade FWI or plain open cone filter with parts from home depot will do just fine ;) otherwise gutting stock airbox will do like ripn said.

Yeah if you are trying to be economic with your mods, I would just buy a cone filter and build your own intake.

At the track with the headlight out open cone is fine, but in heat and city driving a FWI/CAI is going to keep the temps down much better.

Well I am going to build my own open cone steup. My only question is I have a 1997 and the coolant bottle is right behind the driver's headlight. Now i know the PCM has to be relocated, so where do i tie it to? Where the air box used to sit? What do i tie it to? With the coolant bottle there will there be enough room? Anyone got pictures? B/c i really dont want to have o move to coolant bottle. Thank in advance.

You'll have to figure out whats suitable for your given situation which includes re-mounting or properly securing the ECU/PCM.

On the coolant recovery bottle when you install a Thrasher CAI the coolant recovery bottle is in the way. So you have to get one for a 1999 GP and up and then mount it to the passenger side strut tower. You may have to do the same.

you can buy pcm trays if you're having trouble mounting it

Only good if you have the 99 and up coolant bottle which i dont.
