fixing hole in dashboard

theres a hole in my dash just below the light switch where the owner before me had a switch for something. i'll try to post pics but i don't know if i know how. but its a small square hole, and it looks terrible and i don't know what to do or how to fix it. hopefully someone can help. thanks

Easiest way would be to get another switch of the same size to fill the hole. Or else you could patch it with some sorta dash kit they got out there, either way it's always gonna be noticeable, unless you replace the dash.

i would have just put a new switch in, but where its located it would hit my leg every time i got in and out. how much would a new dash piece for that section cost?

i would suggest finding some kind of ornament/sticker type thing to put there. something to cover it up so it wont be noticeable. that way you wont have to spend the money to replace it. you might want to check out some junkwards or salvage places see if you can find one there.
