I was driving my mother's 2000 Buick LeSabre & didn't realize she had automatic headlights. I turned off the headlights manually & now it takes about 10 minutes for them to shut off after the car is turned off. She has no idea what to do because she has never used the manual controls for the headlights. I did look through the book, but don't see any reason why they would be taking 10 minutes to shut off now. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any suggestions.

there ought to be a slider labeled twilight sentinel on the dash, where the headlight know is. make sure that the slider is all the way to the left, but not clicked off. You'll understand what I'm saying when you do it.
Correction: I thought the LeSabre and Park Avenue had the same headlight controller, They do not.
On the lesabre, the left slider is labeled twilight. slide the slider all the way to the bottom, without sliding it all the way to turn it off(you'll encounter a little resistance before it hits off. This slider controls how long the lights stay on after the ignition is turned to off.
