ok. this is how i always do my turbos. but this time we are going BIG. and i want them to look more realistic. im using plumbing solder and aluminum tubing. and i can't seem to get the super glue to hold the two together..anyone got any suggestions?

You could try epoxy resin, the two part stuff like Araldite. Thats a bit more heavy duty than superglue.

If you wrap the solder tight enough, it won't take much to hold the tube and solder together. I admit, they are brittle joints, but they don't get a lot of action in the engine bay. If you rough up the surfaces with some finish grit sandpaper first, and are careful during assembly, it should work ok.

you could try to JB Weld it, though it might get a little messy

thanks guys. like willimo suggested, i needed to rough up the surfaces first. the joint was just too "slick" for the glue to "grab"
