Fuel Types??

Hey, does anybody know if it really matters if you put regular unleaded fuel in a grand prix GTP or do you have to buy the premium?? does it DAMAGE the car? or just not give you the performance that premium would give you?

You must use the 93 octane in the GTP due to the supercharger. If you compress 87 octane it will knock severly and do damage to the engine. The higher octane can be compressed without the premature detonation of the 87.

Everyone that owns a GTP would like to save some money on gas but you will spend a lot more if you run low octane in the car, especially if you like to use the supercharger.

If your stock then you probably wont blow up if you use lower octane. I wouldnt go lower then 89 though.

Ive run 89 for weeks straight and havent blown up yet. Just have to remember to be gentle and not rag the piss out of it.
