I haven't drove my car for nearly two months now due to fact that my registration is suspended till July 21st. I have a question, my brakes is all rusted, because I haven't driven for a while. Do i have to replace it or will the rotor will scrape the rust away? Just wondering.

By the way, how often should I replace my brakes? I usually drive my car to school only, 10 miles per day total for round trip.

Also, I just have to start my car once in a while so the oil in my clydiner doesn't completely drains out, which it isn't good. Once I get my registration, I am changing my oils, my brakes, and transmission oil as well. I cared about my car alot!!

Saturn SL2 1995; I am planning to make some modifcation to car's armor and engines as well.

Thanks!

light surface rust is common if the car has been sitting for a while(my 94 SL2 brakes started delevoping surface rust in maybe a month after i parked it - i didn't watch closely) just a quick zip around the block and it should all come off, maybe spray it with a little brake cleaner if you want.

see you on the saturn forums.
