1990 Olds 88 Royale

I have a 1990 Olds 88 Royale. The car generally runs fine but sometimes stalls, especially on hot humid days, after warming up 15-20 minutes. The stalling happens if I stop at a stop light when the engine is at a low rpm and will immediately start back up.

A possible related issue....about a week ago the Voltage warning light went on the dash. I went ahead and drove the call around the block and the light went off (after I reached a higher rpm).Since then, I’ve checked the battery everyday....It seems to be keeping its charge;I think the alternator is still working properly.

Could the alternator be causing the stalling??? or does this seem to be some kind of ignition problem? Any ideas would be appreciated

it could be alot of things the 2 i would recomend checking is the ground wire from ur altinator (caused my altinator to die 6 times) And maybe replace your altinator if you need help i can tell you how to do it also if it died like that it means your not getting the right volts so id try replacing your altinator and see what it does for you also have you changed your fuel filter? It can cause you to stall at low rpms when you stop because its starving your engine for fuel due to it being clogged
