AIT relocation... in question

I have been reading the posts about the options of relocation the AIT. I wonder, since I think the point is to adjust the air/fuel mix and that air temp is a paramater, seems that the best place for it is where the the action is. If the air is hot in the intake, well it's hot. Fix it . You could put the AIT on the front bumper and get a real cold reading but that will not change the actual temp in the manifold.

Am I out to lunch on this one ( no offence intended for all who moved it  )

Also, can the air be too cold ? Up here we get -25F and less in the winter.

Thanks
Chris

Am I the only one to question the relocation of the AIT ? No reply's....

BTW I had a friend over , he does not give a hoot about cars, but is a phd in airflow dynamics(designs airplanes). Got him to take a look under the hood of my 01 D(4.8). He had a bunch of interesting comments on the design of the engin bay. :screwy:
