smoke during start up /accelration

I have a 1985 2.8 carb v6 automatic and I love my car it is fun car (s15 jimmy 4x4) however i want to know what the hell makes it smoke it is not bad but during start up it is enougth to a puffy clould of smoke very ligth and during revving the motor also does this and also very ligth this all started less then 5 k miles ago this eng has appx 55k on the rebuild so far i have changed pcv value air fiter and a few other things as i can afford it i just had major surgury so i buy parts as i can afford it and i need this car to go to rehab 3k miles a month driven...

Valve Guides are more then liklely shot...

What color is the smoke?
