power windows

1985 grand prix...
power windows went on the fritz. took the door apart and a few wires are off of the connections (bad connectors). so i experiment with the wires and one configuration the passanger window goes up but not down... i change the wires and the reverse happens...?
what is the proper wiring?
there are a blue/black blue/white.... blue... yellow ...red wire.
2 obviously go to the driver side ... which i think the motor is toast (2 blues) red is power (which slot does it go to in the connection?) and what is the yellow? (power to the passenger side?)
please help... getting warm in there! lol.
