can anyone tell me how to jump the connections to retreive the code for a check engine light , and were the connector is in a 1990 lasabre with a 3.8?

The following link tells how to pull the computer codes off GM vehicles:

The connector is located under the dash under the radio/ashtray and you need not take anything off to get at it.

Thankyou yogi_123rd I retreived the code and found out it was a high temp coolant sensor. Nothing truly serious. My mind has been eased.

If you had a code for a high temp coolant sensor it could be serious. Did it over heat or are you low on coolant? I would follow-up ASAP to find why that code appeared.
