Dakota mileage

For my first car my dad wants me to take his old Dakota. Its not that old in year (2001 i believe), but because his job has A LOT of traveling it has about 135k miles on it. Im wondering if any of you know if theres any reason i should go a diffrent route. Maybe some problems that would occur, breakdowns etc.

It would help to know what motor and tranny it has and is it 2wd or 4x4??

As for known problems,
-Ball joints
-Front rotors and pads
-Heater core
-AC drain tube leaking inside the cab

That's all that comes to mind right now, other than that it's a pretty solid truck!!!
