i was hard at work today when i thought about this, how many ppl think rice boy knows what all 3 letters stand for?

Do you think if you ran upto one and asked him, the convo might look like this?:

You: What does N.O.S. stand for?
Rice Boy: Nitrous
You: Thats the N. what about the O.S.?
Rice Boy: Oxide, STUPID!

Lol, i mean honestly what are the chances of them getting it right... specially when they are put on the spot and dont have an hour to think about / research it

i may catch some crap here but i mean seriously how many of them even think about the letters at all? everyone calls it naws like they did in the fast and the furious movie.

Well judging on how many people actually call it NOS instead of nitrous I think they'll get it wrong, I know I do it too but many people dont really consider it the name of a company, lol.

"i only fill my 20lb nos bottle half way to save weight"

lol, as i get tired and more tired thoughts just start pouring into my head and i just wanna run upto one and :nutkick: :chair:

i never understood why the kids that put heavy ass body kits and huge stereo systems in their cars and monster park bench aluminum spoilers on the trunk were worried about weight reduction...

somewhere along the line NOS and nitrous got viewed as the same thing... NOS is a company (nitrous oxide systems) nitrous oxide is a gas, somehow that is confusing to some people.

lol, if you gave them a month to think about it do you think they could tell you who owns N.O.S.? lol... someone besides them..

that wing is for downforce, but they often dont relise that their car is slow and weighs about as much as a sherman tank

i know what the wing is for, i just think its rather funny when people put 50 pound decorations on the back of their car.. and worry about gutting the interior and getting racing seats..

*also, isnt it rather pointless to get rear downforce on a FWD car? just seems like its not gonna help the matter any..

lol, thats true to, but if it was a rwd drive car it would help keep the rear end behind them not like in a camaro... all that dam weight back there they dont have to worry about going side ways... not that their cars can go that fast anyway

That challenger was the hottest car in that movie!

Nah it was a Challenger, those things look like Chargers but arent..and were only out for a couple of years like...5 or so. I think the Yenko could no way in hell lose to that EVO, its funny whenever they hit the "nos" it shows the view from the windshield and the car infront of em looks like its going 5 mph.

I think it's sad that the Yenko's reputation had to get spoiled by the EVO. An 11 second muscle car vs. a 13 second ricer burner, and for some reason hitting the "naaawwwzzz" put the ricer ahead :screwy:

Also, I laugh every time in the 1st one when they're looking at the guys engine and that one dude says "yeah if you just adjust your NOS and fuel mixture you should be in the 9s" :grinno:

Also, somebody asked who owns N.O.S. Holley.

I think the Fast and Furious movies are used to bring the spirit of the rivers up after they get owned.

slant six, 318, 340, 383, 440, 426.

As for the N.O.S. and "noss" thing, if you really want to confuse them, say N.O.S. sheetmetal or N.O.S. radio. This stands for New Old Stock.

I hate you..it was a simple typo! Just to clear up river=ricer.

HAHA I still remember back in highschool two kids drooling over import tuner mags...

Ricer 1: what if you put naws and turbo in the same car!?!?

Ricer 2: It's the same thing.

oh brother.... haven't seen ricer 1 in years. Ricer 2 tried to take my v6 camaro which happened to be running on 5 cylinders at the time in a civic loaded down with body panels and sub woofers... left him for dead.

On another note I found a ricer muffler tip at starbucks.... I'm going to put it on the family mini van.

Since the first movie was all drag racing anyways, they should have been using straight-line cars, like muscle cars.
