Turbo or not to turbo?

I have a 94 Integra RS auto. I want to know if it's worth installing a turbo on a automatic and if a 94 with 135,000 would still have enough compression to avoid detonation?. I don't want to push much at all, but just give me a little more get up and go then I already have. I have a friend with a GSX eclipse and I want to show him up.

Do a compression test (or take it to a mechanic and get it done).

Don't even bother yourself to try and show up your friend with a GSX. I sold my old GSX to a friend, he has a bigger turbo on the stock motor plus cams, an intake,and an AEM and he's gone middle 11's. Not only can he add in some boost and make a lot more power than you, but he'll own you like a red headed step child from a dig with AWD.
