1988 LeBaron headlights doors

:screwy: my headlight door suddenly stopped opening. I manually opened them, anyone have a similar pproblem? How did you fix it?

take the motor of and hook it up directly to the battery to see if the motor still runs, if it does then check your relays. sometime you get lucky and just cleaning the connectors of the relays will have them work again. GOOD LUCK :)

If just cleaning up things doesn't work then you will probably need to replace the whole unit.

Does anybody know where the relays are located in a 1988 lebaron 2 door rag top
The doors always go up but only go down 1/2 the time when thy work they work perfect but when they dont they just dont move
After they open they wll close fine and then open and close for a few days than all of a sudden they dont open until you crank them down again tan they work for a few days again

I had that problem in wet and/or cold weather. Finally tracked it down to the plug-in joint somewhere behind the radiator. Clean it and use dielectric grease. I think the relay is one of the two on the left front fender behind the battery. And do make a 12 volt wire set to plug directly into the plud to test it.

I been lookin for a unit.. they're like 'rockin horse doo', unless the local stealer dealer has one. And if her does tis gonna cost yah.. :grinyes:
