my gt automatic only has 3 rd gear and reverse,

i put a water pump and a timing belt on the car and when i went to drive it after that it only had 3 rd gear and reverse, can anyone help me?

crap, i know what you have is common with Autos and it is easily fixed. several ppl here have had this problem. however i can't remember any specifics. Hotshot8972 can answer your question.
