but how do i know if it's dark or light gray i thought gray was gray?

Try calling them up and asking. They may be able to help. I would say take an educated guess on the color match, it shouldnt be too difficult. I wasn't aware that there were 2 shades of gray either but now that its mentioned I think I can recall both colors.
