Is there a way to replace the light in the radio display panel on a 97 4runner without having to get a completely new radio?

Probably so. The backlight on my AC went out ('99 4runner ltd) and I was able to replace 2 bulbs at a cost of $5 instead of the entier AC controller ($700).

I also just had my A/C Controller backlight go out on my 99 4runner ltd. How do you go about replacing the bulbs. I imagine I will have to remove the trim and go from there.

I've just bought a 97 4runner and the light behind the station frequencyindicator is out. Is there a way to get into the radio and replace it or is the radio a sealed unit?
